PROJECT: PUBLIC LAW LIBRARY PROJECT

Our hope when we embarked on the Sri Lanka Public Library Law Project was that these law books that we donated will benefit all communities, whether Tamil or Sinhala or any other.

The spirit of donating to a Public Library is akin to the concept of free education.

  • These law books are there for free use, by all, no matter who you. There you will find equality. Law Books related to Law and Law enforcement for public libraries, including Jaffna, Batticaloa and Galle etc.
  • The donated collection displayed on the 2nd floor of the attractive Galle public library is a fine law library.

The Bar should know and if it still unaware, it needs to be informed that this comprehensive legal resource, both in English and Sinhala is available to any lawyer or law student who wishes to be educated and to better understand law.

It was informed by the need to confront racism and sexism, a commitment to social justice and the necessity to advance environmental protection.

There is no sense of self-interest. It only assists and empowers on trust.
