2008 – 4th Tsunami Memorial Reception

The 4th Tsunami Charity Reception, a fundraising event in remembrance of the Tsunami organised by the Association of Sri Lankan Lawyers on 28th November 2008 at Garden Court Chambers, Lincoln’s Inn Fields, was a great success and a lovely evening.

The Sri Lankan High Commissioner Nihal Jayasinghe and his wife Indira were the guests of honour.

The American auction of a Sri Lankan child’s painting raised £600 for Tsunami affected children in Matara and we made a profit of over £1500 for the Sri Lankan Lawyers (UK) Tsunami Appeal Registered Charity No. 1108341.

We thank all those who attended this memorable event and have supported us in the struggle against poverty.
