Social Justice: Social Justice. Supporting the poorest and most disadvantaged communities, through financial aid, food, education, homes and medical aid, and challenging the root causes of poverty.
Environmental Justice. Training environmental lawyers to advance climate justice, prevent environmental destruction, to protect animals and to provide legal assistance to poor, marginalised communities.
Disability Rights Supporting persons with disabilities, through social inclusion and integration without discrimination, better quality of life and demanding better legal protection.
Children’s Rights Feeding and supporting poor children and special needs children through a network of community organisations and challenging the causes of Child Poverty. And demanding better law and practice in Child Protection.
Women’s Rights Demanding equal rights and equal pay for women and supporting women in their struggles against sexism, discrimination and sexual violence.
Human Rights Upholding the Human Rights through the provision of financial grants to organisations and individuals engaged in protecting Human Rights.
Peace and Reconciliation Bringing together Sinhala, Tamil, Muslim and other people and challenging racism and exploitation and demanding equal rights for all.
These are the issues that we have been involved in the Tsunami Charity from the outset in 2005.
We do so without wasting any money, as we are all unpaid volunteers.
